Polypedates macrotis
A brownish orange medium-sized frog croaking in an artificial pond. This frog is the common frog species around Aristo inn. The pattern variation of the frogs here are spots. They are nocturnal. The tadpole of this species is seen in the last photograph. These tadpoles can survive in this distilled dirty pond water. This frog species has been spotted climbing up to 4 meters above ground.
Around Aristo inn, especially in this pond. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fXVNU6bAE2g/UG...
It was dark, very dark when I spotted this frog. I had to track it by listening to it's croak and using flash in my photography to reveal it. I tried to do a quick search on it's ID in the Internet but when I typed "Sabah frogs", many results on political issues turned up instead. Prof. Dr. Alexander Haas has suggested Polypedates macrotis. >>>Map accuracy : 5m diameter.
