Polystachya concreta
This photograph was shot in Everglades National Park early September, 2012 near the salt marshes around Flamingo. While this genus can be found in Africa as well as in the West Indies, the yellow helmet orchid has managed to establish its presence in the Tropical Americas and the Caribbean. The flower of this particular epiphytic orchid can vary from a pale yellow to a yellowish green.
