Description:

This bird is classified as a falcon, and is the smallest falcon in North America. Per the attached photos, this bird has blue-gray head and forewings, and is easy to identify due to its unique coloring. This specimen was spotted in the morning perched in several trees in an ash grove in Spring Mountain Ranch, Red Rock Canyon, NV...conducting its morning hunt.

Habitat:

Ash grove in a canyon area, at the base of the Spring Mountains.
