bayucca, if you're not sure then I will leave it at genus level. I will try to get better photos with my camera, but I only had my phone on me at the time. They are so hard to photograph and don't let me get very close. Do you know what features I should try to get a good picture of for identification in the future? Thank you for your help

Quite a tricky one! Almost identical with my Pieris napi and also in US discussed as single species or subspecies.
