Drepanid Moth

Macrocilix mysticata

Description:

White. With a trident-shaped pattern that looks like strips of poo...stands to reason that it will be avoided by predators.

Habitat:

Drawn towards the porch light of a cottage at Village Kolakham; a remote, forested area situated at an altitude of 1868m in the Kalimpong Hills of Darjeeling District, on the fringes of Neora Valley National Park.

Notes:

Related to : M. maia; with its flies and poo-spotted wings also seen at Kolakham Village. Check it out...it is pretty peculiar. https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/14...
