Long Legged Fly

Condylostylus occidentalis

Description:

Small iridescent fly, found near slow moving water. I was surprised by the beauty of these flies.

Habitat:

Spotted at Ala Wai Community Gardens.

Notes:

I'm guessing at the exact species for this one since I'm not an entomologist and I can't seem to find a detailed reference online. If someone has a better classification for this sighting, please let me know.
