Gralliclava horrens horrens
Gralliclava horrens (Dohrn, 1860) syn. Clavigralla horrens (Dohrn). About 1cm in length. A pod-sucking bug. Its relative, the spiny brown bug Clavigralla tomentosicollis is one of the most important pests of pigeon peas in Eastern Africa. Gralliclava horrens is a widespread and common species, distributed in the Oriental region, from Sri Lanka, India, southern China and Taiwan southwards and eastwards to the lesser Sunda Islands. There are two subspecies, one restricted to Palawan (Philippines) - Gralliclava horrens palawanensis. The other one, Gralliclava horrens horrens also occurs in the Philippines (except Palawan).
