Graceful Bolete

Austroboletus gracilis

Description:

Velvety, pinkish red cap with incredibly soft and spongy pink-gray pores. Graceful stipe that was slightly darker than the cap. The stipe narrowed toward the apex and had longitudinal grooves. This is the first spotting of this species on Project Noah.

Habitat:

Growing out of the side of a mossy, steep hill in a mixed forest.

Notes:

These shots are sadly blurry, but I've posted them anyway for the sake of documentation since this is the first spotting of this species on Project Noah.
