Description:

Another fritillary for this season, and, in spite of these ragged wings, with a strong flight. About 6 cm in wingspan, lively orange with black patterned spots on upper side.

Habitat:

Seen in a meadow/grasslands on slopes of Jura, on edges of coniferous forest, on some 900 m of altitude, and on edges of Natural reserve.
