A yellow and brown Dragonfly
On plants growing in the ditch alongside a very quiet dirt road that separated two large farm fields; full-sun and very dry conditions at this time of year
This remind me of a red dragonfly I call a Valentine Dragon as it looks like it has hearts running down its tail only on this dragonfly the hearts are yellow in color; male and female of the same species perhaps?
Thank you so much for helping me identify this dragonfly!! Just out of curiosity, can you tell me in layman's terms what the difference is between the Halloween Pennant and the Calico Pennant? I've clicked between the two but can't tell what the difference is. http://bugguide.net/node/view/812305 verses http://bugguide.net/node/view/152093 I love dragonflies but don't think I'll ever figure them out.
