Leaf tip lerp insect

Description:

These tiny lerps gain extra protection by curling the tip of their leaves around their waxy shell covers. There were two lerp insects each with their shells in each of these leaf cavities.

Habitat:

Suburban park.

Thanks Leuba. The main part of the leaf will still grow normally but only the tip will stay twisted..
