Lesser Siren

Siren intermedia

Description:

A lesser siren at the Tulsa Aquarium. These salamanders are fully aquatic. Unlike other salamanders, this species can vocalize, either in short clicks or screeches, which I imagine would be terrifying if you didn't know that.

Habitat:

Southern US and Northern Mexico.
