A Species of Grass

Description:

This beautiful red and green grass was growing between the rocks of the ruins, even quite high on the pyramids. The stalks were growing individually and in places without water for months at a time. As the grass ages and dries, it begins to break up and disperse in the wind (last pictures).

Habitat:

Dry season, growing between rocks on the pyramids of Edzná.
