Giant African Land Snail

Achatina fulica sinistrosa

Description:

Conical shape shell, about 5cm large, pale brown with dark brown stripes. The shell is particularly tough and has the highest heavy metal content of any snail species.

Habitat:

Tropical forest, spotted in a coastal area in Nusa Dua, Bali after rain.

Notes:

Lissachatina fulica is a species of large land snail that belong in the Achatinidae family. It is also famously known as the giant African snail.
