Weaver Ant Nest

Oecophylla smaragdina

Description:

Leaves bound together to form hollow dwellings.

Habitat:

Sigiriya complex. Tall and old trees, some greenery, lots of ruins, a few water bodies (with birds and crocodiles) and unending flights of crumbly stairs.

Notes:

I think Weaver ants were at work here but the nests were too high up to actually see the architects.
