Says Phoebe (fledglings)

Sayornis saya

Description:

Brown Phoebe with cinnamon belly. Head and back are a darker brown. These are a species of flycatcher related to the Black Phoebe. Nest is also similar to the Black Phoebe and can be mistaken for a Barn Swallow nest.

Habitat:

Usually found in open fields perched on posts and barbed wire

Notes:

Parent was not far away but these fledglings were ready to leave. After my walk only one was left. In California they are a shy where it is hard to approach, but what I have seen in Colorado these have been like our Black Phoebes and not as shy.
