Beach Horse Fly

Stenotabanus psammophilus

Habitat:

Sand dunes, beach, coastal hammock.

Notes:

Couldn't find much info on this fly. I made up that common name. This is perhaps a male. I only found that other example in the reference page and it was a female also found on a Florida beach. seemed very camouflaged to the sand.
