Brown anole

Anolis sangreii

Description:

Smallish brown lizard with a whitish stripe down its back and small gold dots on the side, yellow ring around a black eye.

Habitat:

Windward side of the island of Oahu, on the ground.

Notes:

It seems likely that this is an anole, and probably a brown anole even though all the other photos I've seen of the species shows a lot more dark brown markings all over the body. Perhaps this is a female or a juvenile.
