Xanthetis luzonica syn. Cyme luzonica
I spotted this arctiid moth on a frond of an epiphytic fern (probably Pyrrosia pilloseloides). Photos taken at 8:50am.
Thank you, Agnes.:) I have not been posting my spottings religiously and I still have to check on the IDs. I accidentally came across John's photo of an arctiid moth, similar to this, for NMW 2014.
So true bayucca! and thank you :) I just hope I could find next the correct species ID of the Philippine "Amata" wasp moth!! :D
Excellent job, Agnes! I always told you to dive into historic books and resources ;-)...
Another wonderful example! "All" these moth were somewhere...
Veron, I got the matching ID - Xanthetis luzonica syn. Cyme luzonica from a 2012 research article by Antonio Durante: New genera and problematic species in African Lithosiinae (Lepidoptera, Arctiidae, Lymantriidae) - http://www.europeanjournaloftaxonomy.eu/...

Veronica I want to suggest an General ID... Names are given by their host plants and their behavior... I know I shown different Moth from same genus find in Australia.
It may be a close relative of lichen moths, Ashish. The wing marks are different.
Asura sp. for sure, as mentioned by bayucca, though I can't find a species.
Arctiidae and here is yours, unfortunately without an ID:

I checked for Asura lydia, didn't match.
