Katydid Nymph

Description:

This katydid nymph was so well camouflaged I almost did not see it. It measures right around 3/4" long...without the long antennae. The colors were amazing. You can see the leaf it was feeding on. The plant was Ixora.

Habitat:

Tropical dry forest in NW Costa Rica 4 months into the rainy season.
