Description:

Just starting to transition into breeding plumage, they are very streaky brown at this point with a little bit of black. The white patch on the wing is still noticeable. This was almost a month ago; now they are in full breeding plumage.

Habitat:

Along the roads in mixed-grass prairie with cropland mixed in.
