Rough Green Snake

Opheodrys aestivus

Description:

Green back with a tan belly. Long tail used for climbing in bushes and trees to find insects to eat, which are their main prey source.

Habitat:

Found in a bush at the edge of a swamp at night. Swamp has a lot of bald cypress and is surrounded by mostly oak forest. Found 10-15 of these guys this night.
