Fruit-piercing Moth

Gloriana ornata

Description:

Large eyed, chocolate coloured, large moth also has tent-shaped leaf-pattern wings with a pair of white spots on them.

Habitat:

Semi-urban building surrounded by forests.

Notes:

My wife woke me up early morning when she saw this moth on the prayer room door. I was so excited and was even bit scared as I had never seen a bird-sized moth before! Now my problem was how to share with you all exactly the way I saw it, because it's very difficult to portray in photographs. I even took a small video, but still it's not coming! By the way, I'm posting this one as my 900th spotting! Thanks pals.
