Pipevine Swallowtail

Battus philenor

Description:

Pipevine Swallowtail (AKA: Blue Swallowtail) butterfly sitting on some tall grass in a pond during a rainstorm. At first I mistook this for a Spicebush Swallowtail, but upon further study found it to be a Pipevine.
