Leaf-footed Bug

Leptoglossus zonatus

Brown Leaf-footed Bug with cream-colored "zig-zag" stripe and large yellow fake eyes.

Crawling on some aloe plants in the botanical garden in Medellín, Colombia.

I have never seen these bugs in this garden before, and on this day they were all over the place. They'd let me get only a few shots off before they jumped away. Considered a pest not only for the feeding damage on various crops but also as a transmitter of plant pathogens. Additional info: Many thanks to Kieth Roragen for a perfect classification!
