Unknown species of avian louse found on a Canada Goose. Long body with pincer type mandibles. The goose was a juvenile in poor condition.

Fascinating. Our wild cockies have a type of feather lice which I see occasionally. It cruises through their feathers with such ease and speed. Thanks for the close ups.
