Description:

Also known as the Malabar parakeet. Males have red beaks, while females have black beaks.

Habitat:

Endemic to the Western Ghats of South India

Notes:

This particular bird was eating insects which were in the hole in the tree. I had spotted these birds at around the same time last year.
