Description:

Perennial herb, To 1ft tall. Stem leaves alternate with long petioles. Petals 5-loved, rosy red to deep crimson, with white blotch at base. Many stamens, filaments united forming a tube.

Habitat:

Upland mixed forest.

Notes:

This plant is an endangered species here on Florida. These beauties were found at the Ranger Station in Silver Springs State Park.
