Green Milkweed Locust Nymph

Description:

A stocky large and colourful African locust of the Pyrgomorphidae. This is a nymph with it wings still underdeveloped and locked in the thoracic case. with in a day we found the this outer armour shed and the locust most likely flew away. these insects eat poisons plants that the manifest as a toxic spray from their joints when disturbed.

Habitat:

Arid and semi arid grass and farm land
