Description:

Orchid easy to locate due to its significant height. It has 5 to 10 spear-shaped leaves, almost always without spots. The floral spike can measure about a metre and carry more than 100 flowers with great variability of colors, from pink, bluish or violet to intense purple or purple. The lip can be entire or trilobular with very varied lines or geometric patterns, usually with strong coloration. It blossoms from the beginning of June to the beginning of August.

Habitat:

Spotted at a prairie in an open oak forest (Q. pyrenaica). Reserva de la Biosfera Real Sitio de San Ildefonso-El Espinar.
