Pachycoris torridus
Love this beetle, so blue and yellow.
Love this insect, a very handsome fellow! But, since he is not a beetle, would you remove it from the Beetles of Costa Rica Mission? Please continue to add your beetles though...
Thank you all for the interest in this cute bug.
Yeah, it's Pachycoris torridus - a very polymorphic species. Just published a paper about it.
Gilma Bayucca is correct... and this Shield Bug is already appeared on Project Noah...!!
Thank you, LaurenZarate, bayucca and YukoChartraw.
Certainly NOT silly you, Lauren! Scutelleridae is also a family which I forget most of the time it exists as well...
Shield Bug is correct, but it is another family: Scutelleridae and most probably Pachycoris torridus.
Beautiful picture and colors! This is a Shield bug of the Hemipteran Family Pentatomidae.
Thank you, RiekoS, I am hoping for an ID this time, all my beetles are hard to ID!?
