Blue Mallee

Eucalyptus polybractea

Description:

Common in eastern outliers of mallee in Victoria ie. Kamarooka, Bacchus Marsh, Charlton. One of the highest yielding species for Eucalyptus oil, widely used in cultivation. Is also an important ecological species for its nectar production.

Notes:

This species occurs on a family run sheep farm, we've been planting it around farm dams to enhance the habitat for local bird species.
