Epilachna sp.
A hairy red ladybird, orange head and pronotum with 12 black spots, orange legs.
Spotted during a raining morning walk at Kebun Raya Cibodas, a 80ha area above 1.400 metres high, mix of botanical park with big trees & palms and surrounded by rainforest at the foot of Gene volcano, Java - Indonesia.

Coccinellidae, Coccinellinae, Epilachnini, Epilachna sp.. I am not really sure how accurate the IDs on the net are. We may have some conflicts here:

So is it Epilachna indica or Epilachna admirabilis??

Beautiful ladybird Jordi! As per Project Noah instructions Please only use the Scientific name field for genus and species. Filling the scientific name also results in the spotting to be classified as Identified, and users who screen the site for Unidentified species may fail to notice it. Families and any other levels of classification can be mentioned under Notes as you did. Thanks in advance!
