Description:

Light green spider, 4-5 mm long (less legs) with two black spots and red patch on abdomen which taken together evoke a "smiley face". This species is endemic to Hawaii.

Habitat:

Tropical montane bog.

Notes:

Spotted in the Mt. Kaala bog, guarding eggs on the underside of a leaf of native Hawaiian hydrangea, Broussaisia arguta.
