Vietnamese Centipede (juvenile)

Scolopendra subspinipes subspinipes

Description:

Juvenile of the species with blue legs. One of the most hated insects in Hawaii because of their incredibly painful stings due to their highly toxic venom.

Habitat:

Crawling on a White Shrimp plant near Kaimuki High School.

Notes:

I was taking pictures from a distance of the plant, but saw the centipede in the pic when I got home. Really glad I didn't try to get closer
