Blue Crayfish

Procambarus alleni

Habitat:

Endemic to Florida in the United States. Its natural range is the area east of St. Johns River and all of Florida from Levy County and Marion County southwards, as well as on some of the Florida Keys.

Notes:

"Why did the crayfish cross the road? To get to the other side". While walking along the loop road at the Shark valley entrance to the Everglades National Park I noticed a bit to my surprise this guy making it's way to the water on the opposite side of this road.
