Large golden beetle with green shine, flat face and small mouth parts. Very active and in love with the lens.
Temperate Australian forests and gardens. Plenty around currently attracted to lights.
Just reminded me of the big ancient metal suit wearing aliens in the Fifth Element. Can you tell I'm not an entomologist?
Ha! sure looks like it... might be a flower munching beetle like Anoplognathus porosus
