thanks bayucca, didn't expect a match on this one as it is so blurry. It was very small and a long way away. Had to take it on full zoom, and my hands are not so steady these days !

Indeed a metalmark and a Calephelis sp., but which one. Unfortunately yours is not as sharp to see all the details and many of the reference pictures are not really in a good shape and mostly museum specimens, so, comparison is also not really easy. Usually I do not ID Calephelis down to species level because being on the safe side is very difficult. Range may help a little bit at least it is not such a nightmare as the ones from Mexico. However, there are still many almost identical ones around. I could exclude most of species, but at the end there are still severall candidate. I would leave it as Calephelis sp.
