Crotalaria rotundifolia

Description:

Member of the bean family. Flowers grow up to half an inch in width, and are yellow and pea-flower shaped with an erect banner petal. Stems are hairy and grow along the ground. Usually found in dry, sandy or rocky woodlands and disturbed areas in some Piedmont counties. From the "Field Guide to the Wildflowers of Georgia and Surrounding States".

Habitat:

Georgia Piedmont / Indian Springs State Park - located on the banks of Lake McIntosh, beneath a pine tree.
