Cheers J, I've found a photo of C. viscosa that looks similar-ish to mine: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Y... your spotting could be an old one. I guess you could still be right though; it could be a coral fungus. I'm going to post it on MushroomObserver and see what they think
