Risky ID I know, but for me it is Phaon. Now let's see what the cracks of bugguide means about it...

I don't know what to tell you. I see what you're talking about, but see a lot labelled pearl crescent with that character you are saying is for phaon crescent.

Ashley, James McNair commented on one of my similar spottings recently, saying that the off-white band on the forewing is a good indicator of Phaons, leading me to believe this is also a Phaon crescent: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/...
However, I looked on bugguide and at your reference links and some Pearl crescents have a little bit of a lighter color on that part of the wing too. What do you think?
