Podisus maculiventris
Spined Soldier Bug Nymph spotted on the golf course of Maxwell AFB, near the Alabama River. Until posting this photo I had no idea how complicated the life cycle of the stinkbug was!
Pentatomidae, Asopinae, Podisus maculiventris. In my eyes not Chinavia hilaris. The markings are different. Although nymphs usually are very tricky to ID, I think yours is Podisus maculiventris.

This is a Heminopteran. Most likely the second the last instar (sub adult) of the green stink bug. The nymphs are very varient and bright on color.

What a coincidence. I saw this bug for the first time today in my front yard on a sunflower plant. I took some pictures but haven't downloaded them yet. I'd be curious to know what it is too. I hope someone knows!
