Wasp Larvae

Description:

Blue & Yellow colored wasp larvae munching a fern leaf (Drynaria quercifolia). Leana said they're like gummy worms ! :)

Wow! These have amazing color, however, these are the larvae of wasps. They are called Sawflies. Sawfly larvae are often mistaken for butterfly or moth caterpillars. They can be amazingly colorful! They have a slightly different body structure than butterfly and moth caterpillars.

This spotting will need to be removed from the Butterfly and Moth missions.
