Catephia alchymista moth

Catephia alchymista

Description:

Big wing span with white markings on the under wings makes it noticeable as it flies around the light sources during the night.

Notes:

Not sure if these moths, if I'm right about the ID, would show up in our area - Haryana, northern India. Our area in particular, has a great number of oak trees and plenty of other trees. Well, it is an interesting moth with lovely patterns! While it looked pretty dull in the umber, brown black and yellowish colors when it sat still! Looks gorgeous with beautiful textures and colors!
