A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Duellmanohyla soralia
This is a Critically Endangered (IUCN 2010) but extremely beautiful tree-frog endemic to a very small area in Honduras and Guatemala, the Merendón Mountains. It is seriously threatened by habitat loss to increasing coffee plantations and other disturbance where the few populations chose lower lontane and montane wet subtropical forest. Chytridiomycosis apparently also threatens this species, especially in the tadpole stage.
For how long will we be able to see this stunning species?
