A Cuban Treefrog

Osteopilus septentrionalis

Description:

Around 10:00 p.m. at night, I looked out of the left front window. ( the front door, outdoor, nightlight bulb was on. ) To my amazement, and right before my eyes, was a very large amphibian, resting on the left sidewall, and only inches away from the left front window. I grabbed my camera, and I slowly opened the front door. I then planted both feet, on the front door mat. I then rested my left arm and shoulder, on the frame of the left front window. I was now, very, very, close to this large amphibian. I took more photos, of this amphibian. I was very, very, close to it now. I leaned my body to the left, and I was now only inches away, from this large amphibian. All of a sudden, this large amphibian, jumped from this left sidewall, and into the bushes, never to be seen again, unless it comes back another night.

Habitat:

I spotted this large amphibian, resting on the left sidewall of this house, at around 10:00 p.m. at night. This large amphibian, is only inches away, from the left front window.
