Description:

A gorgeous red tortoise leaf beetle likely to be a Paropsis species but not one that I have ever seen before.

Habitat:

Country roadside eucalyptus.

This specimen is determined to belong in the variolosa species group which includes several species.
This is similar to a sub - genus but the species is still undetermined.

Wow that's a nice one! No luck yet with ID? It's got quite a flange on it's thorax.
