A passeriform bird, belonging to the family Emberizidae. It is one of the commonest birds in Argentina. From the northern provinces to Patagonia. It is pretty similar to a house sparrow, but it has the collar. Usually is found in the ground, seeking seeds among the bushes.
It was pictured in my backyard in San Isidro, It is an urban area.
