Since 2000, this species has been listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. Habitat destruction and marine pollution is the main reason for its declining. These photos were taken in Jana Island on the Arabian Gulf and it is a part of Al Jubail Protected area in eastern Saudi Arabia
