Description:

Gardenia jasminoides is a shrub with greyish bark and dark green shiny evergreen leaves with prominent veins. The white flowers bloom in spring and summer and are highly fragrant. The species is widely cultivated in Greece, and it's very popular, especially for it's fragrance. The pictured plant was spotted in Tsagarada village, Pelion mountain, Greece.
